We often hear, it is the most comprehensive and in-depth exam they have ever had from a chiropractor. We will include leading, evidence-based protocols incorporating: advanced chiropractic palpation, functional movement screens, orthopedic examinations, muscle length assessments, nerve tension assessments, joint range of motion assessments, neurological examinations, lymphatic testing, and nutritional screenings. The goal of this visit is to identify if your pain is within our scope of care, and if so treat it; if not, get you to the correct type of healthcare provider.

As of January 1st, 2022, all clients who are uninsured or opting to self-pay for services, and will be beginning a new course of care with us, have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. This is in keeping with the No Surprises Act and will provide a general overview of the costs you are likely to incur throughout your course of care.
Please be sure to let us know if you will be paying for your care out-of-pocket so we can provide you with an estimate prior to your first appointment.

Every aspect of the body needs energy. Without sufficient clean fuel to provide energy, joints become painful, organs become distressed, life feels more stressful, and your overall health becomes compromised. Our Functional Health approach works to restore the body's natural energy producing systems to produce clean, efficient energy. By strengthening and energizing the host, the body can regulate its systems correctly. This is often thought of as the Terrain Theory.

We are not diagnosing anything with our functional health approach and are not treating a diagnosis. We work to restore the body's natural ability to heal itself. As a result, these services are not deemed medically necessary by insurance companies and therefore cannot be billed to any insurance company.

PEMF Therapy - Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy

PEMF Therapy recharges your cells – similar to how you recharge your cellphone’s battery at night. All cells – in a phone, computer, or the body – have a charge. Due to different environmental factors, the voltage or charge of the body is decreasing which in turn lowers the body’s pH.

From a 10,000-foot view, to have ideal ‘health’ our body’s must live within certain reference ranges.
1. Glucose level: between 80 – 100 mg/dl
2. Blood pressure: 120/80
3. Temperature: 98.6-100
4. Oxygen level: SpO2 – 95%
5. pH: 7.35 – 7.45

It’s important to note pH stands for potential Hydrogen – or potential ‘free radicals.’ Unchecked, or too many, free radicals are bad for us because they are negatively charged – aka acidic. To live life in a state of health we need a pH of ~7.4. By increasing the cells ‘charge’ we are increasing the pH of the body. Bringing the body out of an unhealthy acidic state.

Simply:
• lower pH means lower voltage which means less health
• higher pH means higher voltage which means better health

Because of our lifestyle factors (and everything that comes with it) we need to increase our bodies pH and/or voltage to produce energy (ATP) to feel good and fight off disease-states. Through the different interventions – such as our PEMF device – you can recharge your cells and increase the pH helping the body to produce clean, efficient energy to feel good and take on life.

Lactate, lactic acid, monitoring is quickly becoming a precursor test for various health conditions such as diabetes to cancer. Lactate is the mandatory byproduct of glycolysis or the break down of sugars in the body. By checking a person's lactate threshold we can identify their utilization of fat as an energy source vs. glucose. Poor fat utilization, in the mitochondria of our cells, is what leads to increase in blood glucose which is the current testing protocol for diabetes.

Our Resting Lactate Testing should be performed on fasting or on a relatively empty stomach for best results. By understanding a person's resting lactate level, we can understand certain aspects of how the body is producing energy.

High resting lactate levels indicate mitochondria (powerhouse of the cell) dysfunction. Therefore your body is not producing clean energy at rest and can become overexerted with little activity causing fatigue like symptoms and various pain and health related patterns.

For a more comprehensive training approach geared towards understanding fitness health, fitness programming, and empowering the body to feel better sign up for our lactate stress testing! If you purchase the resting lactic acid testing and would like to sign up for the stress test, we will carry over the cost(s) associated with this purchase towards the stress testing.
